HYDROGEL WITH POVIDONE IODINE
A specially formulated hydrogel with povidone-iodine and hyaluronic acid, intended for infection control, prevention and wound treatment.
Povidone-iodine acts as a broad-spectrum antiseptic, while hyaluronic acid promotes tissue regeneration. The hydrogel is used during dental procedures in the clinic when a localized and prolonged effect of the active substances at the application site is required. It is particularly suitable when local antiseptic control is required or when the patient declines antibiotic treatment. Due to its structure, the hydrogel adheres well to tissues, remains at the application site for an extended period and gradually releases the active substances. Manufactured to individual orders from healthcare institutions at the compounding pharmacy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.
The package contains 6 oral applicators with 1 ml of hydrogel each, 12 capillary application tips for precise and delicate application, and 12 metal application tips for use in harder-to-reach areas. One package is sufficient for up to 24 procedures (patients).

Intended for local disinfection of the oral cavity and prevention of infection when a broad-spectrum antiseptic effect is required.
Used during:
– After surgical procedures, to reduce microbial contamination and the risk of secondary infection
– In cases of acute soft tissue inflammation when rapid antiseptic control is required
– For disinfection of superficial oral mucosal lesions (wounds, microfissures, trauma)
– After tooth extraction – for antiseptic care of the socket during the early post-operative period
– In cases of increased risk of infection (weakened immunity, complex procedures, poor oral hygiene)
– For short-term use when a rapid and broad-spectrum antiseptic effect is required
Methods of use:
Apply the hydrogel during surgery or immediately after the procedure – to periodontal pockets, the implant placement site, the wound or the gingival suture site. Distribute the hydrogel both on and around the wound. In case of infection, apply the hydrogel to the infected areas and the surrounding tissues.
Instructions for use:
Remove the protective cap from the oral applicator and attach a single-use application tip. Apply the required amount of hydrogel to the affected area. Using a spatula, gently spread the hydrogel over and around the affected area. If the wound is bleeding, apply a swab. After application, it is recommended not to rinse the mouth or eat for at least 1 hour.
Possible side effects:
The hydrogel must not be used in patients with a known allergy to iodine.
Storage conditions:
Do not use after the expiry date.
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
